Dragon-bees are the central figures in our innovative blend of DeFi and gaming on the Sui Network, designed not only as digital collectibles but as active participants in the ecosystem’s economy and gameplay. Each dragon-bee starts its life from a genesis egg, purchasable with SUI, which must be nurtured to hatch by engaging with AMM pools to meet energy and health thresholds.
Genetic Diversity and Rarity: Each dragon-bee is genetically unique, classified into families like fire, water, or ice, which determine its abilities and cosmetic appearance. These genetic traits affect not only the dragon-bee’s performance in battles but also its desirability and strategic value in breeding.
Breeding Mechanics: Breeding is a core function, allowing players to combine the genetic traits of two dragon-bees to create a new egg. This process involves:
Cooldown Periods: After breeding, dragon-bees undergo a cooldown period, simulating a recovery phase before they can breed again, adding a layer of strategic planning for players.
Trait Inheritance: Offspring inherit a mix of genetic traits from their parents, with a chance for mutation, introducing new traits that can lead to rare and powerful new dragon-bee.
Participation in Ecosystem Governance: Dragon-bees empower their owners to participate in decision-making processes within DegenHive, such as directing AMM emissions or voting on governance proposals. This gamifies the governance process, making it more engaging and giving each dragon-bee additional utility.
Protocol yield: Dragon-bee eggs earn protocol yield share in HIVE and HONEY tokens, and can be locked with AMM pools to earn additional rewards (trading fees and bribes)
HiddenWorld introduces a novel gaming mechanic that adds depth to the ecosystem and limits unchecked increase in dragon-bee supply by removing dragon-bees forever from the supply.
NOTE: HiddenWorld game-mechanics is expected to go live in Q1 2025 on SuiPlay gaming consoles.
Entry Mechanics:
Dragon-bees enter when owners claim locked HONEY tokens and send dragon-bees to the HiddenWorld
Entry is permanent and irreversible
Battle System:
HiddenWorld dragon-bees battle with user-owned dragon-bees
Battles consume health and energy
If health or energy or a dragon-bee reaches 0, it gets destroyed and is permanently removed from the system
While risky, participating in HiddenWorld battles can be lucrative. Dragon-bees that survive and excel in these combats send a portion of their earnings back to their owners. Moreover, these battles provide "dragon-dust," a catalyst for the evolution of dragon-bees, enabling them to unlock new abilities and enhanced appearances by mutating their genes to a higher level.
Our model ensures that dragon-bees are not static NFTs but dynamic assets that grow, evolve, and interact within a living ecosystem. This approach not only maintains the value and interest in each dragon-bee over time but also encourages continuous engagement from the community.
